Problems Consumers Have Experienced With the Nintendo Wii February 28, 2009

While most people out there are very happy with their Nintendo Wii some consumers have found it isn’t what they expected. The good news is that these seem to be isolated incidents instead of a problem with the development and technology that was used to create the program.

It seems that the most common problem that people experienced with the Nintendo Wii had to do with the power source. It simply wasn’t fitting properly and therefore not enough power was supplied. Imagine being in the middle of a very competitive game and then you lose the power to it. Not something you want to experience on a regular basis. Nintendo has changed the design for the adapters though with the newer consoles. Anyone with an older one that offers such trouble can ask for a new one to be sent to them free of charge.

For some individuals, their Nintendo Wii has been working just fine for a very long time. Then suddenly they start to experience error codes that pop up. Sometimes this is an indicator that your Wii needs to have work done on it. However, most of the time it is due to a glitch with an update that occurred. Since Nintendo sends such updates automatically to your system you may not even be aware that they took place.

For example when they updated the connection to the internet recently these errors were coming up all over the place. In many cases this can be reset and you are on your way. Some people have had to either send their Wii in to be repaired at no cost or Nintendo sent them a new one for free though. There weren’t too many of them though were a patch wasn’t able to repair the problem without any action on the part of the consumer though.

A few people have purchased Wii consoles that didn’t work at all. They were doing everything right but they just got a bad system. Even though Nintendo does test them at the factory a bad one does slip by now and then. Such issues are easily resolved though by returning the first gaming console to the retailer or by contacting Nintendo directly. It can be disappointing but you won’t have to be worry about losing out on the money you paid for it.

While it is unfortunate that some consumers have experienced problems with the Nintendo Wii, it is to be expected with any product of this magnitude. The good news is that Nintendo is going to offer you their full support on getting the situation rectified. You will find plenty of good reviews about this all over the internet. While it won’t be fun when you have such problems, knowing you can get great customer service does make a big difference.

Nintendo also takes the situations that seem to be a common theme and makes them better. One of these issues has to do with the wrist strap to hold the Wiimote in place. A common complaint was that it was very weak. Therefore Nintendo developed a stronger one that is offered with the consoles on the market now. Consumers can go online or call to request that a replacement is sent to them at no charge as well.

About the Nintendo Wii Controller

There are really many different things that you should know about the Nintendo Wii controller, and this is primarily due to the fact that the Nintendo Wii controller is unlike any other controller on the market today in regards to video games. The wireless freehand Nintendo Wii controller not only makes the games themselves easy to play, but as well it makes them more fun than ever before.

More About the Nintendo Wii Controller

As well, there are several different types of the Nintendo Wii controller, such as the nunchuk controller, which, when connected to the Wii remote, allows you to get ready as you are about to begin a journey into the most immersive, heated game play experience ever, and the nunchuk controller and the accelerometer contained within it are truly considered as being the next leap in gaming.

The nunchuk is in fact the first controller attachment that Nintendo revealed for the Wii remote at the 2005 Tokyo Game Show and what it does is it actually connects to the Wii remote via that of a long cord, and its appearance while attached resembles the nunchaku. Basically it features that of an analog stick that is rather similar to that of the one that is found on the Nintendo GameCube controller and two trigger buttons then as well.

Then you also have the option of hooking up a classic controller to the Wii remote, which is easier for many people, especially those that are already used to the classic Nintendo remote, and this also plugs into the Wii remote via a cord, incredibly similar to that of the nunchuk controller.

The classic controller cannot however be used to play games for the Nintendo GameCube, and according to the Nintendo Online Shop, the Classic Controller can only then be used with Virtual Console games and it should also definitely be noted that the GameCube controller can be used instead of the Classic Controller for playing most Virtual Console games, and the classic controller can also be used outside of Virtual Console games too.

There are many different options here that should be known about the Nintendo Wii system in general, and so if you are interested in it then you should definitely check it out further. Just remember to try it out before buying it so that you can see whether you actually like it or not.

The History of the Nintendo Wii

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

n for the Nintendo Wii was in the works as early as 2000. However, the public didn’t get a taste of the concept until mid 2004. The goal of Nintendo with this product was to revolutionize the home gaming console industry. Many consumers were very excited about the ideas but some worried that they wouldn’t be able to materialize.

Those doubts were soon cast aside though when Nintendo revealed their concept for the wireless controller at a show in Japan in 2005. In late 2006 The Nintendo Wii was in high demand. In fact, stores couldn’t get enough of them to fill the demands for the holidays. Many people were paying thousands of dollars for them on eBay and other online auction sites. There were also plenty of charity fundraisers selling high volumes of tickets due to the prize being a Nintendo Wii.

The road to such success was one that took many twists and turns though. In 2001 Nintendo released the GameCube. It was quite successful but the researchers for the company felt that so much more could be accomplished due to the technology we have available. As the same time the Nintendo DS was being finalized. Many of the concepts of these two early works though are a crucial part of the overall design of the Nintendo Wii.

It took the visions of both developers, programmers, and engineers to get the Nintendo Wii that we love today to take shape. They had a variety of concepts they needed to implement. First, they needed to make it affordable or people weren’t going to buy it no matter how good it was. Nintendo make it known from the start they wanted the Wii to be family oriented. Therefore it had to be offered at a price that the average family could afford to buy it.

Next they wanted to go beyond the basics of playing video games. They wanted to give players a chance to be a part of the game. This was different from simply enjoying playing the game. Being able to use the right tools and accessories would make a huge difference in this area. A great deal of effort was put into offering very realistic movements and graphics to allow this to happen.

Last but not least they wanted the games to be fun and interactive. They wanted parents to be willing to buy this type of gaming console without worrying that their kids would become inactive in other aspects by playing it all the time. They wanted to make sure people of all ages were going to be able to have a great time using it as well.

The name of the Wii was changed many times before it was released. One of the top names that was considered was Revolution. However, the executives of the Wii had a worldwide vision for this home gaming console. Therefore, they wanted a name that would be simple to pronounce in any given language.

Since the goal of the company was to offer something that everyone could enjoy, using the word WE in it was something that many people loved. The spelling of it was changed though to give it a more distinct element that would be connected to the Nintendo brand in the minds of consumers from all over the world. This is a marketing strategy that certainly was worked out well for Nintendo.

No one can question the success of the Nintendo Wii though. It has won many different awards in the few years it has been on the market. Since September of 2007 it has been the top selling home gaming console. Even though other companies are trying to copy the standards that Nintendo has set they haven’t been able to generate the same consumer following.

The Nintendo Wii was just released in both China and South Korea in 2008. There are plans to launch it in Morocco and the Philippines later this year or in early 2009. This is due to customer demands from those regions. Many people there already have them but they have been paying a premium price for them on the black market.

Of course the best place for Wii Game Systems and Wii Bundle Deals is right here at www.wiis4less.com

This article is for anyone interested in finding a Nintendo Wii and Games for the lowest price on the market. There are always a couple of options that always have available Nintendo Wii Consoles. The first place you should check that is market price is Gamestop or EBGames. Since the Demand for the Nintendo Wii will be met around the Mario Kart release it should be fairly easy to find it in this stores. Note that Mario Kart Wii release date is April 27, 2008.

The second option which is possible to get it below retail price is through eBay or it’s partner site Half. Both sites are trusted online auction sites which have become household names. Worldwide at any given minute of the day there will always be a Nintendo Wii auction going on or any Nintendo product auction. This makes it convenient on you since you don’t feel pressured at a retail store. Some auctions also feature free shipping as part of a bundle deal or generous seller.

The third way which is more work is to get it free through referring your friends and completing an offer at a website of your choice. There are a lot of different websites which use this same idea. It was featured on G4 but it ends up being more work after awhile and most of the time people give up. I would not recommend this option unless you have a highly visited Nintendo website.

Finally the last option is by winning it for free at a Nintendo Wii game tournament. From previous Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament winner received 5000 dollars, an LCD TV, Smash Bros. Brawl, and a free Nintendo Wii. One can only dream of winning a Nintendo Wii like that though. Enjoy future Nintendo Wii plays and experiences.

Alden Jerry asked:

With the changing times, the whole aspect of playing games too have undergone a global transformation. Earlier games were categorized into two parts indoor and outdoor games. While outdoor games comprised mainly of games like football, cricket etc. and indoor games included the likes of chess, ludo etc.

But as the time progressed indoor gaming got another name of video games. These games are the games which are played on screen with the help of remote controllers. This revolution in indoor gaming attracted a lot of people and created a pool of them. With changing times, the gaming concept underwent a remarkable change and Nintendo took the advantage of the situation and brought many games into the market. Earlier these games were only meant for age group up to 15. but later on many companies started to bring games that were meant for adults and teenagers too.

But when Nintendo launched Nintendo Wii, a gaming console meant for every video game fanatic, the reaction of indoor game lovers was there to be seen. This gaming console was efficient in every way to play every kind of game, be it 2D or 3D version.

Along with this gaming console there are many accessories such as sports disc, remote, console stand and many other things that also come with it. Also it has a completely different controller which looks much like a remote control of TV. It is the gaming console meant for the entire family.

Earlier this gaming console was not within the reach of every game lover. But Nintendo understood this problem and with their consistent efforts brought down the price of the console considerably and made it every house hold commodity. Earlier the game CDs used to be very costly but Nintendo has brought down the prices of Nintendo Wii games to a reasonable level. Consumer can now buy these games any where as they are now available at cheap price.

It is expected that in future the prices of Nintendo Wii gaming (Nintendo Wii console and cheap Wii games) will come further down because of the rising competition among the gaming consoles manufacturers, who are trying hard to get at the position at which Nintendo is right now. Also the Nintendo company is trying to cut down the prices of its games in an order to make them more cheaper.
